WEW Radio 770AM with DJ Anthony Kaminski and JJ (John Jackson)
The St Louis Metro Polka Club sponsors Polka programming on 770AM WEW
radio. It is the
oldest radio station west of the Mississippi and the second oldest
radio station in the country and also offers a live streaming
interface through the internet. Anthony Kaminski (also known as
"Brother Anthony") hosts several polka shows on Sundays. Beginning at
2PM its "Polka Time In Old St Louis" which features as it's theme a
song of the same name written and performed by a local musician Herb
Eberle. Beginning at 3PM is Polish Hour and from 4-5PM is Polka Plus -
which is where you might find a guest . Requests are welcome at
any time during the programming - just call the station at
314-781-9397, and don't be surprised to hear yourslf live on the radio.

into the station broadcast center.
Anthony's programs are always full of fun and laugher and the program
is 100% ad lib. Anthony Kaminski - has been the top dog on Polka Plus
since Feb 14, 1994. Anthony began his career as a DJ by sitting in for
Anthony Geppert in the 70's. Although Anthony grew up in the
era of Rock and Roll, he found that polkas and waltzes opened up
another vista for him. Anthony has added
many new things to Polka Plus since it's inception that includes
inviting special guests to co-host
the program. Polka Plus offers a wide variety of Eastern European music
and Anthony welcomes
special requests during his live show.
JJ (John Jackson) works the control board and cues Anthony.
Anthony often invites guests to help with the show. Claire
Andracsek, former club recording secretary and current webmaster takes over the microphone for an on air show.
